This is a comparison of ten custom software development agencies in Poland – headquartered in Poland, ordered by the year each was founded – oldest first. That is not a ranking, and no agency paid to appear here. Every figure was read from the agency’s own website or its Clutch profile in October 2026, and the page it came from is named beside it. It was written by Sanddev, a Polish agency itself; we are not in the list, for reasons set out directly below.
One thing worth saying before the list, because it surprises people who assume Polish software means Warsaw: it mostly does not. Three of the ten below are in the Silesian towns around Gliwice, three are in Poznań, and exactly one is in Warsaw. Wrocław, the other major cluster, has enough agencies of its own that we gave it a separate comparison, so you will not find Wrocław firms here.
Who wrote this, and why we are not on the list
We built this comparison, so putting ourselves in it would make the whole thing worth less. Instead, here is Sanddev measured by the same fields as everybody else, so you can place us against them without taking our word for anything.
- Location: ul. Ślężna 104/2, lok. A, 53-111 Wrocław. One office, one timezone, no delivery centre somewhere else.
- Founded: 2016
- Specialisation: Taking over software other people started – rescue, vendor handover and production-readiness audits, plus custom AdTech and MarTech engineering.
- Figures: 5.0 from 4 verified reviews on Clutch, Premier Verified (checked October 2026). A crew is three to six senior engineers; nobody junior learns on a client platform. Clients in Poland, the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.
- Pricing: fixed-price production-readiness audits from EUR 890, set by repository size and paid upfront, with no minimum engagement. Rescue and custom builds are quoted per engagement, from USD 10,000.
- Best for: a codebase you inherited, a build that stalled, a vendor who left, or an independent read on a system before you invest in it.
- Not for: hourly staff augmentation, visual design, or an idea with no scope yet.
What we checked, and what we refused to guess about custom software development agencies in Poland
- A Polish company, not a Polish office. A published Polish registered seat, or at minimum a Polish headquarters address on the company’s own site. Two agencies from the previous edition failed this and are named at the end.
- Custom software development as the main business. Not a talent marketplace, not a single-framework shop.
- Numbers from the source. Headcounts, project counts and ratings come from the agency’s own site or its Clutch profile, read in October 2026. Where a company publishes two different numbers for the same thing, both are quoted. Where it publishes nothing, that is written down rather than filled in.
- Published pricing. Whether a real figure appears on the company’s own site, plus the minimum project size Clutch lists. A cost-estimation blog post is not a price.
- Still trading, still delivering. Recent client work and a maintained profile.
Four of the ten publish a price of any kind. None publishes a fixed price schedule tied to the size of the work.
The ten
Poznań’s quiet long-distance runner.
- Location: ul. Małachowskiego 10, 61-129 Poznań, the registered seat. The Dubai location on their contact page is flagged as a partner, not an office.
- Founded: 1999
- Specialisation: Web and mobile engineering, product design
- Figures: Headcount and project count are not published on their own site; Clutch places them in the 50–249 band. Clutch 4.8 from 97 reviews — the second-deepest review base on this list. Entity: MERIXSTUDIO sp. z o.o., KRS 0000938427, the fullest legal disclosure of anyone here.
- Pricing: Nothing published on their own site. Clutch lists a $25,000+ minimum and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: buyers who weigh a long, verified review history above marketing.
- Not for: anyone who needs team size and delivery volume on the table before a first call.
Gliwice, since 2000, and still independent.
- Location: Bojkowska 37a, 44-100 Gliwice, labelled as the headquarters. Also London, Stockholm, Plano in Texas and Ternopil.
- Founded: 2000
- Specialisation: Software delivery at scale, cloud and data, AI and machine learning
- Figures: More than 800 specialists and 900+ successful projects (future-processing.com, read October 2026). Clutch 4.7 from 51 reviews. No registered entity details are published on their contact page.
- Pricing: Nothing published on their own site; they describe fixed-price milestones without naming amounts. Clutch lists $25,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: multi-year delivery programmes, particularly with UK and Nordic clients.
- Not for: one small scoped piece of work — this is an 800-person organisation and it is built for continuity.
Agile as a practice, not a page on the website.
- Location: ul. Zwycięstwa 52, 44-100 Gliwice — the registered seat. Offices also in Wrocław, Warsaw and Kraków. Earlier versions of this article listed Boldare as a Wrocław company; that was wrong, and Wrocław is a branch.
- Founded: 2004
- Specialisation: Product design and development, MVPs, applied AI
- Figures: A team of 200+ and 300+ released products (boldare.com/about, read October 2026). Clutch 4.8 from 63 reviews. Entity: Boldare S.A., KRS 0000914518.
- Pricing: No pricing page. A post on their blog offers a “$1,000 AI prototype”, but states no scope, deliverables or timeline. Clutch lists $25,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: startups and scale-ups that want a partner willing to argue with the brief.
- Not for: fixed-scope delivery where the thinking is already done and you just want it built.
Bielsko-Biała, one office, twenty years of it.
- Location: ul. Powstańców Śląskich 3/1, 43-300 Bielsko-Biała, explicitly the headquarters and the only office.
- Founded: 2005
- Specialisation: EdTech and HRTech, custom software, SaaS
- Figures: 100+ developers, designers and tech leads; project count not published. Average client relationship 4.8 years (selleo.com, read October 2026). Clutch 4.8 from 38 reviews, though Clutch’s own verification panel says 36. Entity: Selleo Labs sp. z o.o., KRS 0000925982.
- Pricing: Nothing published; they offer a two-week free developer trial instead. Clutch lists $10,000+ and $25–$49/hr — the lowest rate band on this list.
- Best for: EdTech and HRTech products, and budgets that will not stretch to Warsaw or Poznań rates.
- Not for: work that needs a large bench or a second site for continuity.
Python at a scale nobody else here matches.
- Location: ul. Mostowa 38, 61-854 Poznań, listed as the headquarters.
- Founded: 2005, and Polish-owned since 2008 after buying out its Dutch parent.
- Specialisation: Python, data engineering, AI and machine learning
- Figures: 450+ specialists, 1,000+ projects delivered and 400+ clients worldwide (stxnext.com/about-us, read October 2026) — the only agency on this list that publishes all three numbers in one place. Clutch 4.7 from 103 reviews, the highest count here. No registered entity name is published on their site.
- Pricing: Nothing published. Clutch lists $50,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: Python and data-heavy platforms that need real depth in one language.
- Not for: small budgets — Clutch’s stated minimum is $50,000.
The name your board will already know.
- Location: Nowe Garbary Office Center, Małe Garbary 9, 61-756 Poznań, labelled as the headquarters and the only office listed.
- Founded: 2008
- Specialisation: Digital commerce, AI and data, product design
- Figures: 400+ people and 2,500+ projects delivered, with a reported NPS of 73 (netguru.com/about-us, read October 2026). Clutch 4.8 from 73 reviews. Entity: Netguru S.A., KRS 0000745671.
- Pricing: Nothing published on their own site, despite a large library of cost-guide articles. Clutch lists $50,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: work where brand recognition carries weight internally, and where the budget is not the constraint.
- Not for: price-sensitive projects, or anyone who wants the founders in the room.
Elixir, and a retainer price stated out loud.
- Location: Droga Dębińska 3A/3, 61-555 Poznań. Earlier versions of this article placed Appunite in Wrocław; the company does not mention Wrocław anywhere.
- Founded: The site says “since 2010”; Clutch states 2010 as the founding year.
- Specialisation: Elixir engineering, mobile, AI implementation
- Figures: Neither headcount nor project count is published on their own site. Clutch places them in the 50–249 band and shows 4.9 from 21 reviews — the thinnest review base here. Entity: Appunite S.A., REGON 302140635.
- Pricing: “Monthly retainer starting from $11k per developer” (appunite.com, read October 2026) — one of only four firms here to name a figure at all. Clutch lists $10,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: Elixir and cross-platform mobile work where you want the commercial model on the table in the first meeting.
- Not for: buyers comparing on review volume.
The Warsaw entry, and a small one.
- Location: ul. Tadeusza Czackiego 15/17, 00-043 Warsaw — the only office, and the only Warsaw headquarters on this list.
- Founded: 2010
- Specialisation: Python, data engineering, machine learning
- Figures: 50+ clients and 200+ projects; headcount not published (sunscrapers.com, read October 2026). Clutch 4.9 from 32 reviews, with a size band of 10–49.
- Pricing: Nothing published. Clutch lists $25,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: Python and data work delivered by a small senior team you will actually meet.
- Not for: programmes that need dozens of engineers at once.
Kraków, mobile-first, with generative AI productised.
- Location: Zabłocie 43a, 30-701 Kraków — the only office.
- Founded: 2011 on their own site; Clutch’s company record shows the entity formed in February 2010.
- Specialisation: Mobile engineering, generative AI development
- Figures: 250+ projects, more than 100 companies served, and 90% of projects arriving by referral (miquido.com/about-us, read October 2026). Headcount is not published on their site; Clutch shows both “50–249” and “201–250” in different sections. Clutch 4.9 from 51 reviews.
- Pricing: “$15,000+” for a generative-AI solution through their AI Kickstarter, set against “$40,000+” for building the same thing from scratch (miquido.com, read October 2026).
- Best for: mobile-first products, and companies that want a packaged route into generative AI rather than a research project.
- Not for: backend-heavy platform engineering.
Gliwice, and the documentation habit.
- Location: ul. Dolnych Wałów 8, Gliwice — the registered office. A second office in Warsaw. Earlier versions of this article said Katowice; Gliwice is about 25 kilometres away and the company has no Katowice office.
- Founded: Not published on their own site. Clutch states 2012.
- Specialisation: Web and cloud engineering, AI and data, modernisation
- Figures: 160+ projects in twelve years (tsh.io/about-us, read October 2026). Total headcount is not published; the only figure given is “110+ certified engineers”, and only in the context of an AWS partnership. Clutch 4.8 from 78 reviews.
- Pricing: Nothing published. Clutch lists $25,000+ and $50–$99/hr.
- Best for: cloud work and modernisation, especially where you will inherit the documentation afterwards.
- Not for: buyers who want a founding year and a headcount before they sign anything.
What changed in the 2026 edition
Three agencies from the previous version of this article are gone. We are naming them and the reason, because a list that only ever grows is a list nobody is checking.
Railsware has been removed. Its own contact page lists Kraków, Dubai, Kyiv and Pasadena, and no Warsaw office at all, despite our earlier entry saying otherwise. More importantly, the only entities named in its footer are Railsware Solutions FZ-LLC and Railsware Products Studio LLC; Clutch records its jurisdiction as Dubai. There is no Polish company behind it, so it does not belong on a list of Polish agencies.
Ideamotive has been removed. The Warsaw address was right, but the business is not what this list is for: it describes itself as matching talent rather than building software, Clutch shows IT staff augmentation as its largest service line at 52%, and its size band is 10–49 – too small to deliver in-house the breadth it advertises. That is a talent network, and comparing one against product engineering firms helps nobody.
Pagepro has been removed. Its Polish delivery office in Białystok is real, but the company fronts commercially as a British agency – the footer calls it a “Top-Rated UK Agency”, the copyright line names Pagepro Ltd, and the London address is listed first. Its stack is also deliberately narrow, Next.js and Sanity being, in its own words, the only stack it ships. Both facts are respectable; neither fits a comparison of general-purpose Polish custom software agencies.
Four entries also had the wrong city. Boldare is in Gliwice, not Wrocław. The Software House is in Gliwice, not Katowice. Appunite is in Poznań and has never been in Wrocław. Railsware was never in Warsaw. Those have been corrected above.
How to choose between them
The ten above are all real, and most of the distance between them is not quality — it is shape. Match the shape to your problem.
You need a large organisation that will still be there in three years, and the work is continuous – Future Processing or Netguru. The hard part is Python or a data platform – STX Next if it is big, Sunscrapers if it is senior and small. It is a mobile product, or you want generative AI packaged rather than researched – Miquido. The stack is Elixir – Appunite. You want someone to challenge the brief before building it -Boldare. The budget is tight and the domain is EdTech or HR – Selleo. You are modernising something and want the documentation to survive handover – The Software House. You weigh verified reviews above everything: Merixstudio, with 97 of them.
And then there is the case none of them lists as a main service, which is the reason this article exists at all. You did not start the system. Someone else did, and they are gone, or the build stalled, or it works but nobody dares change it, or an investor wants an independent read before the money moves. Across all ten agencies above, not one names software rescue, vendor handover or production-readiness audits as a primary offer. That is the whole of what Sanddev does, and it is why we are mentioned on a page we wrote rather than placed in a ranking we judged.
Whichever way you go, insist on meeting the people who will do the work, not the people who sell it. On this list, that request will tell you more than any of the numbers above.
